ein „Hammer-Album“! Sehr frisch und hochmusikalisch! Läuft bei mir auf „heavy rotation“ :-))

Nach zahlreichen Alben und Programmen zwischen druckvollen Hammond-Grooves, Funk, Soul-Jazz, R&B und Blues präsentiert Raphael Wressnig ein neues Album: „True Blue“!

In den 50er und 60er Jahren prägten Organisten wie Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff, Jimmy McGriff und John Patton den Sound mit einer von Blues und Gospel getränkten Variante des Jazz. Mit diesem Album kehrt Wressnig zu seinen Wurzeln zurück und interpretiert edlen Soul-Jazz und Hard-Bop von Horace Silver, Stanley Turrentine und präsentiert elegantes eigenes Material zwischen Jazz und Blues.
